Creating a Magical Yule Log
DIY Nature-Inspired Holiday Decor

🌟Happy holidays, everyone!🌟
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, or another festive occasion, I hope this season brings you joy and warmth. In today's video, I'm excited to share my unique approach to holiday decorating. Instead of opting for a traditional tree and store-bought decorations, I decided to connect with nature and create a magical Yule log right from my garden. Join me on this enchanting journey as I explore my garden and gather natural elements to adorn my Yule log. There's something special about foraging for decorations that makes you feel more connected to the season. It's my first time doing this, and I can already sense the magic unfolding.
🌲Exploring the Garden for Decorations I take you on a tour of my garden, showcasing the beautiful bits and pieces I find – bark, pine tree branches, lovely rosehips, and more. These elements will add a rustic and charming touch to my Yule log. Connecting with nature in this way truly enhances the holiday experience.
🍂Creating the Yule Log I gathered a dry log from my garden weeks ago, and it's ready to be transformed into a stunning Yule log. No artificial materials, no glue – just the traditional way it has been done for centuries. Watch as I use simple tools like wire pliers, a hammer, and nails to attach decorations and create a space for special candles. I decided to honor my dear mum's memory by using her golden candles I found amongst her belongings earlier this year. They add a nostalgic touch to this DIY project. See the process of securing the candles with metal pins and the care taken to ensure they stay in place.
❄️Adding the Final Touch - Snowy Flour Finish To complete the magical look, I sprinkle ordinary household flour on the Yule log, creating a snowy effect. It adds a touch of winter wonderland to the overall aesthetic. I'm thrilled with the outcome, and I can't wait to showcase this masterpiece in my living room.
⭐Counting Down to Winter Solstice As we approach the winter solstice, I'm filled with anticipation for the days to start getting longer again. This marks my last video for the year as I take a short break over the holidays. I'll be back in the first week of January with more content. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, health, and success. If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to subscribe, like, and share it with your friends. Want me to help you rebuild your life after suffering a devastating loss or breakup?
As a survivor of both, I offer my help to heart-centred women like you to gently guide you and show you the wonderful possibilities ahead of you.
After 31 years of marriage, my husband left me just 2 days after my mum died. Being the last member of my family, I suddenly found myself all alone in the world with only my dog for company.
I have since rebuilt my life and have embarked on the adventure of a lifetime - I've sold my house in the UK and am homesteading on a smallholding in Bulgaria with my 3 dogs. And I'll be travelling and exploring the world in my classic Land Rover.
I have dreamt of doing both since earliest childhood. Losing everything has given me the opportunity to start over and create life on my own terms! And I want to help you do the same!
Whatever your dreams, together we will make them happen! I work with private clients only - no impersonal group programmes here! So if you are ready for help, compassion and companionship on your healing journey, book your private 2-hour call with me here: www.buymeacoffee.com/silkeharvey/e/180866
