In this week's homestead vlog, I’m sharing a heartfelt update from the land: recovering from a summer flu, discovering the magic of wild foraging, and tackling an overgrown garden jungle—one patch at a time! 🌿
After a couple of weeks of heavy rain, missed help, and fast-growing plants like 3-meter burdock, I decided to embrace nature’s chaos and start learning what the land has to offer. I talk about how I’ve shifted from overwhelm to inspiration, discovering edible wild plants and reconnecting with the rhythms of the earth.
I also talk about a visit from my lovely friends Melissa and Sylvia, and how Melissa introduced me to modular gardening—a game-changer when managing 2000 sq meters alone! We cleared a patch, lifted a huge tomato trellis I built last autumn, and set the stage for planting tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, onions, and more..
