Rainy Day Thoughts from the Homestead 🌧️🌱🐾

Spring is here, but the weather has other plans! 🌧️ The homestead is soaked with rain, making outdoor work impossible. While waiting for clearer days, I’m catching up on indoor tasks, descaling the kettle, and keeping the dogs entertained (even if they’re not thrilled about this weather either!).

Exciting changes are ahead — soon, the entire 2,000 square meters of my property will be plowed, paving the way for a beautiful clover lawn! 🍀 Why clover? It requires less water, stays lush in the summer, and best of all — no ticks, mosquitoes, or bugs! Perfect for my five dogs and the long-term vision of a cleaner, more sustainable homestead.

🌱 Once the land is ready, I’ll be setting up vegetable beds and truly diving into growing food in earnest this year! Last year, I learned how to preserve and jar food — this year, I’m taking it to the next level. Plus, with the fence nearly complete, the homestead will be safer and more organized than ever.
