The Holiday Season is here - yay!

For thousands of years, December has been a time for celebration, for rejoicing over the light returning after the long period of darkness!

People all over the world, from all walks of life and beliefs, have been giving each other gifts at this time of the year to give thanks for their bountiful harvests - be that real or metaphorical.

I love this tradition because when we give we also open ourselves up to receive and that small act gets us so much closer to the Divine!

So, like every year, I am opening up the first door of my advent calendar to you, dear reader.
